Azerbaijan Cultural Society of Northern California (ACSNC)

Azerbaijan Cultural society of Northern California (ACSNC) is honored to mark two major events of our annual calendar, International Women's Day and International Mother Language Day, and celebrate them in an elaborate proceeding on Saturday, March 5th 2011. We are pleased to announce that the event will include two speeches and poetry citings pertaining to these events. After the first section of poetry recital by Mr. Jamili, the first speech will be on the "Importance of Mother Tongue" offered by our renowned Azerbaijani scholar Dr. Zia Sadr. The second section, again will open with another poetry recital pertaining to International Women's Day by Mr. Jamili followed the presentation by Dr. Hadi Sultan-al-Qurraie, the president of ACSNC, entitled "Women's Education: a Token of Modernity in the Literature of Iranian Constitutional Era."
