Azerbaijani Cultural Society of Northern California will hold its traditional Poetry Night on Friday February 4th, 2011. ACSNC is inviting all our community members to join us for a Poetry Night commomorating Azerbaijani satirical poet, Mr. Majid Sabbagh, known by his pen name, Yalqiz. We will celebrate Yalqiz's life with a presentation and citing some of his poems. If you knew Yalqiz personally, we would also be delighted to hear your stories about him. Please join us to celebrate the poet's life and our literary cultural heritage. Born in Tabriz in 1937, Yalqiz passed away on Monday, Jan 24th of 2011.
