Nurlan joined the Azerbaijan Cultural Society of Northern California in 2023 as a volunteer, supporting community events, cultural programs, and youth activities. He later served as Operations Officer and was elected President in 2025. With a professional background as a Senior Software Test Engineer in Silicon Valley, he brings strong organization, problem-solving, and teamwork to ACSNC’s leadership.

He has helped expand cultural and educational programs, supported our language, dance, and Nagara classes, and strengthened youth engagement across the Bay Area.

As President, he focuses on growing ACSNC’s programs, improving operations, and building partnerships that connect and empower the Azerbaijani community in Northern California.

Vusal Ibrahimli serves as the Treasury Officer of ACSNC, bringing over a decade of experience in finance, business intelligence, and data science. He holds dual Master’s degrees from the University of Washington in Information Management, Data Science, and Business Intelligence, as well as an MBA in Finance. Vusal has worked with leading organizations, including Meta (Facebook), Pergola Valley, and several Silicon Valley startups. With deep expertise in corporate treasury, auditing, and financial analysis, he ensures transparency and responsible management of ACSNC’s resources. Beyond his professional career, Vusal is passionate about community service and supporting cultural programs for the Azerbaijani diaspora.

Amy Lutvaliyeva serves as Secretary of ACSNC and has been part of the Azerbaijani community in Northern California her entire life. Born and raised in the United States, she is passionate about preserving Azerbaijani culture and passing its traditions on to future generations. Professionally, Amy has extensive experience in biological and life science laboratories and currently works in Clinical Development at Intuitive Surgical, supporting the development and evaluation of advanced robotic surgical technologies.

Anar was born and raised in Azerbaijan and has been devoted to the performing arts since childhood. Trained at the Baku Choreography School and the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts, he spent ten years as a soloist with the Azerbaijan State Ensemble, performing on international stages and representing Azerbaijani culture worldwide. Now based in California, he continues to showcase our heritage through community events and festivals, and co-founded the “Sound of Fire” ensemble. As Art Director, Anar leads ACSNC’s cultural programming, performances, and youth-focused artistic initiatives.

Ameena Shafiyeva serves as the Assistant Treasurer of ACSNC. She is an Azerbaijani-American student at Santa Clara University studying Finance, International Business, and Entrepreneurship. Actively engaged on campus and in her community, she serves as Director of DEI for Women in Business, Treasurer of the Middle Eastern & North African Club, and Vice President of the International Business Club. She is passionate about fostering cultural connection and strengthening the Azerbaijani-American community, particularly among second-generation Azerbaijani-Americans, while creating opportunities to celebrate and preserve their heritage.
